Associated Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Representative to join our team.

Job Requirements

We are looking for a professional with a strong background in construction contract administration and on-site inspection. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Civil, Process, or Mechanical Engineering, or a Diploma in Construction or Construction Management.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer with PEO or eligibility for registration, or registration with OACETT.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in a Construction Site Representative/Contract Administrator/Construction/Project Management role.
  • Experience with contract administration and on-site inspection principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of construction contract interpretation and construction acts.
  • Experience with project scheduling computer software and construction products, materials, and equipment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects.

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. They will be a team player with proven leadership skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

The Construction Site Representative will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating activities on a construction project, including liaising with the Client, Contractors, Approvals Bodies, and Public.
  • Preparing various contract administration paperwork, including agendas, minutes, daily logs, photographic records, request for information, testing reports, change orders, deficiency lists, and construction payment certificates.
  • Inspecting and conformance of construction works with contract documents and engineering design.
  • Reviewing traffic management plans for conformance and implementation per Ontario Traffic Manual - Book 7.
  • Preparing engineering sketches, technical specifications, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation.
