About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Sprucedale Care Centre Inc. as a Nursing Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with medication management and administration, as per the resident's care plan.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring the resident's dietary needs are met.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction, engaging residents in activities and conversations.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the resident's safety and comfort.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the resident's condition, ensuring prompt medical attention if necessary.
Requirements
  • College diploma or certificate in Personal Support Work or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care facility.
  • Current certifications in First Aid and CPR.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including lifting and transferring residents.
