Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and mobility support.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Monitor and report any changes in resident condition, including vital signs and medication administration.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as dementia care, wound management, and infection control.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting open communication and collaboration with colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Health Care Aide or PSW program.
  • Certification in Emergency First Aid and CPR.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with seniors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
