Executive Director, Newcomer Integration Specialist

Job Summary
The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director to lead the Newcomer Integration and Multiculturalism team. This role will provide strategic direction and leadership for newcomer settlement services and workforce integration, including foreign qualification recognition.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic recommendations for newcomer settlement services and workforce integration
- Provide secretariat leadership for the Foreign Credential Advisory Committee
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and industry partners
- Develop and manage budgets and resources to achieve team objectives
- Lead and manage a team of professionals to achieve results through performance excellence
Requirements
- Progressive leadership experience in senior management roles, preferably in immigration and multiculturalism
- Strong understanding of immigration and newcomer programs, settlement and language services, and interconnected immigration and multicultural priorities
- Excellent communication and influential skills to work with complex stakeholders and partners
- Financial acumen related to grants and informed policy development
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders to manage diverse expectations and interests
