This role is responsible for ensuring that our products and packaging meet all regulatory requirements in Canada. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to our team, customers, and vendors to ensure compliance with government regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for product labeling and packaging.
- Review promotional materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide regulatory information and support for product labeling and packaging.
- Work with suppliers to ensure that they meet regulatory requirements.
- Verify that all products meet food safety and regulatory requirements.
- Support the development of new products and packaging to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on routine regulatory and nutritional issues.
- Organize and manage documentation according to company policies and procedures.
- Track quality metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Post-secondary degree in Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Food/Nutrition Science or Food Engineering.
- Experience with HACCP, GFSI, food legislation, and Quality Assurance programs.
- Knowledge of Canadian government regulations on ingredient, claims, and nutritional labeling.
- Proficiency with Food Formulation Software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team and communicate with various stakeholders.
