Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our Information Technology team at the University of Ottawa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of IT solutions that support the strategic operations of our designated Faculty/Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, business cases, and risk management strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional project teams to design, develop, and implement IT solutions that meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and develop solutions that align with the University's strategic goals.
  • Ensure that all IT solutions are properly tested, documented, and maintained to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • University degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in project planning, risk analysis, and project management in a complex and diverse IT environment.
  • Knowledge of computing principles, software development methodologies, and business processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence clients.
  • Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written).
