Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Technician to join our team at T.D. Williamson. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment and services.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair and Testing: Repair and test equipment to ensure it meets our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Ensure all equipment is properly packaged and loaded for shipment, and receive and inspect incoming equipment to ensure it meets our quality standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including equipment maintenance records and shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with our quality assurance procedures and standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Technical Certification: A technical certification in automation, mechanics, or electronics, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in a related field, including repair and maintenance of hydraulic equipment.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including travel to the US.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, with French as a second language being an asset.
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications would be an asset:

  • Microsoft Office Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including service automation programs.
  • Hydraulic Equipment Knowledge: Working knowledge of hydraulic equipment, including pumps, motors, control valves, and hydraulics.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence others.
