About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction General Manager to join our team at 2705517 ONTARIO INC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and manage a team of construction professionals, including project managers, engineers, and supervisors.
    • Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure all construction work meets the highest quality standards, adhering to relevant codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
    • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, payment processing, and financial reporting.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management
    • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure clear understanding of project requirements, timelines, and expectations.
    • Manage stakeholder relationships, including client satisfaction, issue resolution, and conflict management.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, project management, or a related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of successful project delivery, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Knowledge of construction industry software, including project management tools and estimating software.
