About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Rebel Custom Homes Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship in our custom homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Develop and implement detailed layouts and plans for construction projects, adhering to building codes and regulations.
  • On-Site Work
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
    • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
    • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Project Management
    • Coordinate and schedule work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
    • Supervise and mentor junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
    • Estimate costs and materials, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience
    • At least 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Accurate and reliable, with a strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent client focus and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
  • Overtime may be required, depending on project demands.
