Job Title: Manager, Indigenous Education

College of the Rockies is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Manager, Indigenous Education. This position plays a critical role in promoting the success of Indigenous students and advancing truth and reconciliation within the College.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Indigenous Education team to develop and implement effective programs and services that enhance access, retention, and completion in educational programs.
  • Identify and implement best practices to support Indigenous learners and develop programs that advance Reconciliation with and for Indigenous peoples in an educational setting.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director Indigenous Strategy and Reconciliation to align Indigenous Education initiatives with the College's strategic directives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous communities and stakeholders to ensure the College's Indigenous Education programs are responsive to community needs.
Qualifications:
  • An undergraduate degree in Indigenous Studies, Education, or equivalent.
  • Three years of relevant experience working with Indigenous communities in an education capacity, or equivalent combination of education and experience within an Indigenous context may be considered.
  • Previous experience supporting Indigenous learners and developing programs and services aimed at enhancing Indigenous student success.
  • Strong personal knowledge of Indigenous principles and ethics, with a focus on supporting programs that advance Reconciliation with and for Indigenous peoples in an educational setting.
