Operations Technologist

Halifax Water is seeking a highly skilled Operations Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Approvals department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our water systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect and verify the installation of water, wastewater, and stormwater service connections and appurtenances.
- Collect, produce, and retrieve record information associated with service connections and appurtenances.
- Ensure installations adhere to Halifax Water's requirements and regulations.
- Review and complete service connection cards for adherence to design specifications and supplementary standard specifications.
- Assist in the locating of Halifax Water infrastructure as requested.
- Input record information into Halifax Water databases.
- Liaise with customers, developers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Post-secondary diploma in Civil Engineering Technology with Certified Engineering Technologist designation.
- Minimum five years of experience in a municipal engineering field.
- Registered member with TechNova as a Certified Engineering Technologist.
- Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License.
