Job Title: Registered Cardiology Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Cardiology Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating electromyography and diagnostic equipment, monitoring cardiac activity, and recording results. They will also perform cardiovascular procedures and tests, and offer mentoring to junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate electromyography and diagnostic equipment to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions
  • Monitor cardiac activity and record results to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Perform cardiovascular procedures and tests, including electrocardiographs, cardiac ultrasound, and other electronic equipment
  • Offer mentoring and guidance to junior staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • Experience in cardiovascular technology or a related field is an asset
  • Registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists is required
Work Setting:

The successful candidate will work in a hospital or medical facility or clinic setting, where they will be responsible for operating equipment, monitoring patients, and performing procedures.

Security and Safety:

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a criminal record check and provide proof of registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists.
