Position Overview

Avina Fresh Produce Ltd. is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of General Farm Worker. This position involves various responsibilities essential to the daily operations of our agricultural business.

Education Requirements

No formal education, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.

Work Environment

The job is primarily conducted outdoors, which may include:

  • Working at heights
  • Exposure to dusty conditions
  • Handling odorous materials
  • Operating in wet or damp environments
  • Working in cold or refrigerated settings
Work Setting

This position is based in a rural area, contributing to the local agricultural community.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Farm Worker, your tasks will include:

  • Operating and maintaining various farm machinery and equipment
Equipment Proficiency

Experience with the following machinery is beneficial:

  • Tractors
  • Farm trucks
  • Loaders
Safety and Security

A criminal record check is a prerequisite for this position.

Transportation Requirements

Candidates must have their own transportation to commute to the work site.

Physical Demands

This role requires:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Capacity to perform under pressure
  • Physical endurance for demanding tasks
  • Repetitive task handling
  • Ability to lift heavy loads
  • Flexibility in movement, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling

Experience Level

No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided. This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week.
