About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Fitter to join our team at Manson Floor Covering Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and measure surfaces to be covered with precision and accuracy.
  • Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and other materials to ensure a strong and durable bond.
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to secure them to the base.
  • Align and straighten tiles to achieve a seamless finish.
  • Prepare and submit tenders and quotations for projects.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles to maintain the integrity of our installations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects to ensure accurate pricing.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the trade.
  • Commercial and residential installation experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Working Conditions
  • Commercial and residential installation environments.
  • 35 hours per week.
  • Permanent position.
  • English language required.
