About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Installation Specialist to join our team at Quetzali Flooring. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered and prepare them for installation by measuring, marking, and cleaning as necessary.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure and cut underlay, underpadding, carpeting, and resilient floor coverings to the correct size and shape.
  • Install Flooring: Install flooring materials, including carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Inspect and Repair: Inspect installed flooring for defects or damage and repair or replace as necessary.
  • Remove Existing Flooring: Remove existing flooring and contaminants, including old adhesives and underlayment.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Setting: Work in various locations, including residential and commercial settings.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Qualities: We are looking for a team player who is organized, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
