Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Bright Star Montessori School Inc.

Job Summary:

The ECE Assistant will provide support to our early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role involves assisting with daily tasks, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and engaging children in activities that foster their growth and development.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs and activities that promote child development
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including cleaning and organizing the daycare area
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and preparing crafts
  • Assist with daily tasks such as bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers
  • Support early childhood educators in keeping records and submitting written observations on children
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Criminal record check and immunization records
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
