About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Bright Star Montessori School Inc. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare program and contributing to the development of our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Requirements
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Criminal record check and immunization records
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community service providers
