About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an ECE Assistant at Bright Star Montessori School Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily housekeeping and meal preparation tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for children.
  • Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Maintain and organize daycare equipment, toys, and materials to promote a stimulating learning environment.
  • Support early childhood educators in developing and implementing educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of children.
  • Record and track children's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform future programming.
  • Plan and lead engaging activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development in children.
  • Assist children with daily routines, including feeding, bathing, and dressing.
  • Prepare healthy snacks and arrange rooms for activities to promote a sense of community and belonging.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community partners to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Organize activities and events for school-age children, promoting socialization and skill-building opportunities.
Requirements
  • Child development assistant certification (ECE level 1)
  • First Aid and CPR Certificates
  • Clear criminal record
  • Up-to-date immunization records

Physical Demands
  • Perform repetitive tasks, requiring attention to detail and physical stamina.
