About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at BizLink. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating custom cable production machinery, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate custom cable production machinery, including extrusion equipment
  • Measure and examine products to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Perform safety checks and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Start machines and regulate production processes
  • Install dies and machine parts according to setup procedures
  • Maintain tool storage and perform basic maintenance
  • Change dies according to project instructions
  • Clean work areas and assist in training new employees
  • Troubleshoot operations and machines as needed

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience setting up and operating custom cable production machinery
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read production paperwork and drawings
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits (an asset)
  • Mathematical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word)
