Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at VPS GEAR MFG. & MACHINING LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and setting up machines to perform repetitive machining operations, verifying dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, and maintaining a clean and organized work space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and set up engine lathes and milling machines to perform repetitive machining operations
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using micrometers and calipers
  • Clean and maintain work space to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Work in a custom machine shop environment with a focus on manufacture
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 5 years or more of experience in a similar role
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye co-ordination
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Steel-toed safety boots and excellent oral communication skills
