The selected candidate will work a tailored schedule of 4 days, 10.5 hours each day (Wednesday to Saturday).
Key Responsibilities- Assigning drivers, vehicles, and trailers to shipments based on load specifications and qualifications while maximizing fleet efficiency.
- Monitoring driver hours of service, ensuring compatibility of products with equipment, and arranging for necessary maintenance.
- Strategically planning routes for drivers, incorporating additional points as needed, and effectively communicating all special load instructions.
- Contacting off-duty drivers to relay trip details for their upcoming shifts.
- Maintaining open communication with team members regarding any changes to planned shipments.
- Coordinating adjustments to scheduled orders and updating the system accordingly.
- Processing customer orders via phone, email, and fax, entering them into the TMW system, and confirming order details with clients, including estimated times of arrival and monitoring incoming communications.
- Overseeing tank levels and verifying inventory status.
- Preparing documentation for border crossings and liaising with brokers and clients.
- Proven experience in forecasting, resource allocation, and scheduling.
- Knowledge of road regulations, permits, and familiarity with LSD is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications is essential; experience with TMW is preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities, capable of thriving under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to maintain composure and a sense of humor in challenging situations, adapting to changes in plans.
