Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
  • Diagnose and identify required materials or components for repairs, coordinating with the Parts Department as per company guidelines, and relay findings to the Production Manager.
  • Install, align, maintain, disassemble, and refurbish machinery including pumps, presses, agitators, gearboxes, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Collaborate with Electricians, Welders, and other trades to complete repairs or installations effectively.
  • Conduct inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure all safety guards and protective devices are operational, reporting any issues to the Maintenance Superintendent.
  • Monitor equipment to prevent breakdowns and minimize production loss.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of parts.
  • Keep detailed records of repairs for work orders.
Qualifications:
  • Journeyman Millwright certification; Journeyman Welder certification is a plus.
  • At least two years of relevant experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Aerial Work Platform certification is advantageous.
  • Proficient with various hand and power tools as well as specialized equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
