Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safe work practices and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Perform routine planned, predictive, and corrective mechanical maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with vendors to research and implement mechanical technologies that enhance mill equipment performance
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings to inform maintenance decisions
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues with mill personnel to resolve operational problems
  • Develop and implement reliability integrity strategies to extend equipment lifespan
  • Conduct regular cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping standards to ensure a safe and healthy work environment

Requirements

  • Red Seal Journeyperson status as Industrial Mechanic or related trade is required
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and temperatures
  • Manual dexterity and ability to remain standing, crouching, or bending for extended periods
