About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Amazon Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing scalable, maintainable, and high uptime systems to optimize product sourcing and improve Amazon's inbound supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop multi-tier systems at Amazon scale using object-oriented concepts, algorithms, and/or data structures.
  • Develop software with large amounts of data, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and high uptime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making and ownership.
About the Team

We are a part of the Strategic Sourcing organization, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale systems to improve Amazon's inbound supply chain. Our team owns systems that define a vendor's inbound supply chain capabilities and limitations, surfacing vendor capability information to large-scale Amazon ordering, simulations, and planning systems.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
