Are you a dedicated Occupational Therapist eager to make a difference in the lives of others? We have an exceptional opportunity for you to showcase your expertise in our Primary Care division.

In alignment with a person and family-centered care model and in accordance with Northern Health's vision for an optimized service delivery system rooted in Primary Health Care, the Primary Care Occupational Therapist (OT) collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans and provide health services coordinated through the Primary Care Home.

The OT adheres to the professional standards and ethical guidelines established by the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.

The OT delivers competent, safe, and ethical care to individuals and their families in various settings, including medical practices, residences, facilities, and community environments, employing evidence-informed practices to achieve favorable outcomes related to their engagement in meaningful activities.

Through comprehensive assessments, strategic treatment planning, recommended interventions, and follow-up care, the occupational therapist plays a vital role in realizing the overall care plan devised by the interprofessional team, informed by the individual's personal care objectives.


Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 08:00 to 12:00

The updated wage is: $52.95/hour

About Mackenzie & District Hospital and Health Centre
Mackenzie & District Hospital and Health Centre is a five-bed acute care facility with four long-term care beds. It offers a range of services, including medical and emergency care, medical imaging, laboratory services, and mental health and substance use support. Additionally, there is a medical clinic available.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
