About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering professional to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation. As a key member of our data science lab, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering efficient, effective, and secure data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the analysis, design, development, and delivery of data pipelines using cloud-based technologies such as Databricks, Amazon Web Services, and Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality analysts, business analysts, application architects, and data architects, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of data solutions.
  • Implement industry best practices and standards for data engineering, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to grow our data engineering practice and establish our lab as an industry benchmark.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, ETL development, or data warehousing.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming language and PySpark framework.
  • Experience with big data and cloud technologies for processing large volumes of data.
  • Understanding of data management, security, and data classification.
  • Understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required for candidates located in Quebec.
