About the Role
We are searching for a skilled Data Engineering Developer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying efficient and secure data pipelines. Your expertise will ensure high-quality data is readily available for machine learning initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality analysts, business analysts, application architects, and data architects to design and implement robust data pipelines.
- Contribute to the implementation of industry best practices for data engineering and management.
- Drive the advancement of our data engineering practice, establishing Intact as a leader in the field.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, ETL development, or data warehousing.
- Proficiency in Big Data and Cloud technologies (e.g., Databricks, AWS, Snowflake) for handling large datasets.
- Strong understanding of data management principles, security, classification, and machine learning concepts.
- Excellent Python programming skills and experience with the PySpark framework.
- Bilingualism (French & English) is required for candidates in Quebec to facilitate communication with colleagues across Canada.
- Eligibility to work in Canada is essential.
