Job Summary

The Canadian National Railway Company is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a full-time Intern, External Reporting position in Montreal, QC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the administration of day-to-day financial activities, including the production of accurate consolidated and non-consolidated financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with month-end closing for complex areas of accounting, including preparing account reconciliations.
  • Participate in the quarter-end planning process and assist with compiling and maintaining month-end checklists.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Work closely with auditors to provide information and clarification during external audits.
Requirements
  • Fluently bilingual in English and French (written and verbal).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience in data analytics and reporting.
  • Working towards or have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
