Role Overview

As a key member of the Banquet Team, you will report to the Banquet Leadership Team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering consistently professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests
  • Assisting guests with menu inquiries in an informative manner
  • Serving food and beverages for designated banquet events
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of beverage selections
  • Understanding all menu items being offered
  • Setting tables according to event specifications and standards
  • Preparing rooms for functions that include food service
  • Adhering to outlet policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Following safety and sanitation protocols when handling food and beverages
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the culinary field is essential
  • Service experience is advantageous
  • Familiarity with point of sale systems is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and dependable
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration
  • Attentive to guest needs, maintaining composure and courtesy
  • Smart Serve Certification is required
  • Bartending experience is beneficial
  • Bilingualism is an asset
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements

Key Physical Aspects of the Role:

  • Continuous standing and walking throughout shifts
  • Ability to lift heavy trays (up to 8 plates)
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting
  • Ability to navigate stairs and ramps
