We are seeking a skilled and friendly Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team at Hearthstone Inn Dartmouth.

Job Summary

The Restaurant Host/Hostess is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a smooth dining experience for our guests, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide menu recommendations to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Table Management: Manage table reservations, seating arrangements, and ensure timely service.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Assist with food and beverage orders, serve wine, and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with customers, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Setting: Formal dining room, restaurant, coffee shop, hotel, motel, or resort.
  • Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, working under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, initiative, and organized.
