Job Summary

The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing compassionate, collaborative, and competent care to patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' health needs and develop individualized care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and interventions to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and families.
  • Document patient records and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Act as a patient advocate, promoting patient rights and dignity.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Minimum 1-2 years recent nursing experience, preferably in critical care.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills.
