About the Role

Air Inuit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Station Manager to join our team in Nunavik, Northern Quebec. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our airport station, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of dedicated employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate airport station activities to provide exceptional customer service;
  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge;
  • Establish and manage work schedules to ensure efficient operations;
  • Act as a resource person for staff and provide guidance and support as needed;
  • Evaluate and follow up on employee performance;
  • Participate in Air Inuit's integrated safety management system;
  • Contribute to the development and management of the airport station's operational and budgetary plans;
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain Air Inuit's equipment, vehicles, and buildings in good condition;
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication with customers, employees, and other departments;
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints;
  • Participate in the development of contracts with external service providers and ensure their effective management;
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance day-to-day operations;
  • Support other departments during unscheduled stops;
  • Apply and enforce Air Inuit's policies and procedures;
  • Participate in occupational health and safety initiatives.
Requirements
  • Hold a college diploma in an appropriate discipline or equivalent work experience;
  • 5 years of experience in the aviation field in a similar position;
  • Excellent human resources management skills, including work teams and conflict resolution;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, French, English;
  • Excellent knowledge of northern operations;
  • Available to travel for meetings and/or support other Air Inuit network stations;
  • Demonstrated high ethical standards in previous employment.
