Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, administrative support, and ensuring the smooth operation of our residence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming guests and residents with a smile, setting the tone for their experience
  • Providing administrative support, including clerical and reception duties
  • Assisting with the ordering and maintenance of office supplies and inventory
  • Fielding inquiries and directing them to the appropriate department
  • Communicating with the marketing department to ensure a smooth move-in process
  • Providing clerical support to the management team and other staff
  • Assisting with the security of the residence
  • Ensuring the reception area is kept neat and tidy
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Recording and storing lost property
  • Implementing and maintaining systems for tracking guest meals and revenues
  • Communicating with residents, family members, staff, and the general public
  • Assisting with the set-up and take-down of programs, activities, and special events
  • Maintaining necessary contact lists
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Office Manager or delegate

Requirements

  • Minimum of grade 12 education required
  • Minimum two years experience in a receptionist or clerical role within a hospitality setting
  • Basic bookkeeping experience is preferred
  • Proven typing and general office administration skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate a strong ability to problem solve
  • Proficient computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite, Word and Excel)
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
