Executive Director of Advancement

Mount Saint Vincent University is seeking a seasoned Executive Director of Advancement to lead our fundraising efforts and strengthen our relationships with alumni, donors, and stakeholders. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve our fundraising goals, while fostering a culture of philanthropy and community engagement.
About the Role- Lead a multi-disciplinary team of advancement professionals to achieve fundraising goals and objectives
- Develop and implement strategic plans to engage alumni, donors, and stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, faculty, staff, and alumni
- Collaborate with the Mount Saint Vincent Alumni Association to strengthen our global network of over 39,000 alumni
- Work with senior management to establish fundraising best practices and strategies for the Advancement team
- 10+ years of progressive experience in a senior fundraising development role, preferably in a university setting
- Proven track record of achieving fundraising goals and objectives
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to create and maintain trusted relationships and engage key stakeholders
