The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Westlake team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for our manufacturing plants. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounting functions for assigned plants, including financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Develop and implement financial controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with operations staff to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management, including variance analysis and forecasting.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with plant management and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and standards, and implement changes as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to present financial information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S4HANA.
