Senior Accountant, Audit

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Audit team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service to our clients, helping them manage risk and improve their financial performance.
The RoleAs a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Applying KPMG's audit and accounting practices and methodologies at client engagements
- Conducting external and internal financial statement audits for both public and private companies
- Leading field engagement teams and coaching and mentoring junior staff members
- Performing analysis of complex accounting issues
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant post-secondary degree and Canadian CPA designation, or international equivalent recognized by CPAO
- 2-3 years post-graduate experience in accounting or a related field
- Excellent project management, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Effectively monitors multiple or complex projects regularly to check how they are progressing against deadlines and budget
