About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Respiratory Specialist to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children. As a key member of our respiratory medicine department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of pediatric respiratory medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods, and publish research papers for presentation and publication.
  • Study the nature, cause, and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases.
  • Supervise laboratory activities and act as consultants to other physicians.
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and be physically demanding.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
  • Have 5 years or more of experience in a hospital setting.
  • Be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensed by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Be eligible for professional liability insurance.
