LE GROUPE ULTRAGEN LTÉE is seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Design Technician to join our team. As an Electrical and Instrumentation Design Technician, you will be responsible for designing and drawing layout and arrangement plans for electrical equipment and cable trays, as well as participating in interdisciplinary design and coordination reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and draw layout and arrangement plans for electrical equipment and cable trays under the supervision of an engineer;
  • Design and draw single-line diagrams, control diagrams, and diagrams interconnection under the supervision of an engineer;
  • Model and coordinate elements in 3D models;
  • Participate in interdisciplinary design and coordination reviews;
  • Adapt drawings according to customer specifications and requirements;
  • Apply the quality assurance process to deliverables;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design and delivery meet customer needs;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in electrical and instrumentation design.

Requirements:

  • DEC in electrical engineering (industrial electronics technology) or DEP in electromechanics of automated systems or DEP in industrial design;
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience;
  • Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2D software;
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D software (considered an asset);
  • Knowledge of REVIT software (considered an asset);
  • Knowledge of AGI32 software (considered an asset);
  • Knowledge of the BIM common data environment (considered an asset);
  • Good knowledge of the Office 365 suite (Word, Excel);
  • Good knowledge of low-voltage electrical distribution;
  • Good team spirit, attention to detail, meticulousness, autonomy, etc.;
  • French (English would be an asset).
