Truck Driver

At Can Roots Carrier Inc., we are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials over long distances.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
- Load and unload goods, ensuring safe and secure transportation
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, adhering to traffic laws and regulations
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and condition
- Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including preventive maintenance and repairs
- Communicate with central dispatch and relay information as needed
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations
- Organized and reliable, with excellent judgment and teamwork skills
- Experience an asset, but not required
As a Truck Driver with Can Roots Carrier Inc., you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction. You will be required to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, and may be away from home for extended periods.
