Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Precision Welder to join our team at ARZ Contracting Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, reading and interpreting blueprints, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret Welding Process Specifications: Read and understand welding process specifications to ensure accurate and efficient fabrication.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the best approach for metal fabrication.
  • Examine Welds: Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Operate Fabrication Equipment: Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brakes, shears, and other metal shaping and bending machines.
  • Fit, Braze, and Torch-Straighten Metal: Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal to ensure accurate and precise fabrication.
  • Operate Oxygen Arc Cutting Equipment: Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) to cut and shape metal.
  • Determine Weldability of Materials: Determine the weldability of materials to ensure safe and efficient fabrication.
  • Operate Hoisting and Lifting Equipment: Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move and position metal components.
  • Maintain and Repair Equipment: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Availability: Available for shift or on-call work.
  • Language: English.
  • Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
