About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welding Fabricator to join our team at Econo Muffler Auto Centres. As a Welding Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding and metal shaping techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications to ensure accurate and efficient fabrication
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut and shape metal
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to form metal into desired shapes
  • Fabricate and repair metal parts and products using welding, brazing, and soldering techniques
  • Determine weldability of materials to ensure safe and effective welding processes
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal parts and products
  • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines to ensure efficient and accurate fabrication
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance

  • Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with heavy lifting and physical demands
  • Work in a team environment with a focus on safety and quality
  • Work a regular 30-hour workweek with opportunities for overtime
  • Work in a clean and well-maintained facility with modern equipment
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a focus on safety and quality
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
