Job Summary

Magna International Inc. is seeking a skilled Rolling Mill Set Up Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our rolling mill equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect the rolling mill at the beginning of each shift to ensure safety and proper functioning.
  • Operate and maintain rolling mill controls and tooling protection equipment.
  • Monitor and record inspection records, SPC charts, and checking fixtures.
  • Use measuring equipment, such as vernier and other gauges, to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Start and shut down equipment as needed to run the rolling mill.
  • Participate in training on rolling mill induction welding.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth production.
Requirements
  • Valid forklift license and ability to operate 6000 lb. to 12000 lb. lift trucks.
  • Ability to follow written set-up instructions and fill out appropriate papers.
  • Knowledge of First and Last Off Procedure.
  • Ability to set roll tools and achieve section.
  • Organizational skills and ability to work well without supervision.
