Job Summary

This is a permanent/regular position with Magna Exteriors, a leading manufacturer of vehicle exteriors. We are seeking a skilled Rolling Mill Set-up Operator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect the rolling mill at the beginning of each shift to ensure safety and proper functioning.
  • Operate and maintain rolling mill equipment, including controls and tooling protection.
  • Monitor and record inspection records, SPC charts, and checking fixtures.
  • Use measuring equipment, such as vernier and other gauges, to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Start and shut down equipment as needed to run the rolling mill.
  • Perform induction welding and other tasks as required.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, and follow company procedures.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of rolling mill operations and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to follow written instructions.
  • Ability to work overtime and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid forklift license and ability to operate heavy equipment.
  • Ability to follow written set-up instructions and fill out appropriate paperwork.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS/GHS and other safety protocols.
