Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Safely: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Logistics and Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Emergency Response: Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to unexpected situations.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other drivers and dispatchers to ensure smooth operations and meet customer demands.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Class 1 or A Driver's License.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Schedule: Work a 45-hour week, with overtime required as needed.
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job, with a permanent work term. The work language is English.
