Position Overview:

This role is a part-time opportunity (up to 20 hours weekly) within the Fitness and Leisure division.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality child care services to families utilizing the facility
  • Engaging with and nurturing children from infancy to 6 years of age
  • Organizing enjoyable activities in a secure and welcoming atmosphere
  • Demonstrating excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Maintaining a clean and healthy environment for children to play and learn


Qualifications:

  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years
  • Valid Standard First Aid – Level C CPR with AED certification (documentation must accompany application)
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in child care and supervision
  • A sincere passion for working with children
  • Capability to perform under pressure in a dynamic setting
  • Ability to function independently as well as part of a team
  • Level 1 ECE/Child Development Worker certification is advantageous

Additional Details:

This is a part-time role (approximately 20 hours per week) with daytime shifts from early morning to early afternoon, evening shifts, and weekend availability.

Candidates with morning availability during weekdays may receive preference. Furthermore, those with Level 1 Early Childhood Educator certification may qualify for additional shifts in our licensed preschool program.

Successful candidates must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and kneeling. Sitting on low furniture and the floor will be necessary for most shifts.

A current, acceptable Criminal Records Check, including Vulnerable Sector, will be required upon hiring.
