Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Support Worker to join our team at Second Family Care. As a PSW, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

About the Role:

As a Personal Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming. You will also provide companionship, social support, and emotional support to our clients, helping them to stay connected with their community and maintain their mental and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide companionship, social support, and emotional support to clients
  • Assist clients with instrumental activities of daily living, such as laundry, light housekeeping, and meal preparation
  • Accompany clients on errands and to appointments
  • Work with healthcare teams to follow client care plans and goals
Requirements:
  • PSW certificate meeting technical and practical standards
  • Clear enhanced police record check
  • Able to acquire a valid CPR/BLS certificate
  • Able to complete WHMIS training
  • Reliable transportation
  • Enjoy working with a team and independently with clients
  • Caring and respectful manner with clients and coworkers
