Job Title: Database Administrator

Nexus Systems Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement database systems to meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain database security protocols to protect sensitive data
  • Optimize database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing
  • Monitor and analyze database activity to identify potential security threats
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database systems align with business objectives
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on Oracle 12c and 19c
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing database systems, including data encryption and backup/restore procedures
  • Strong understanding of database security protocols and compliance regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Desirable Skills:
  • Oracle certification (OCP)
  • Experience with Oracle Partitioning and Advanced Compression
  • Knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate and data integration technologies
  • Experience with distributed data systems and middleware technologies
