We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Support Specialist to join our team in the Capital Markets division. As a Research Support Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the operational activities of our business unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide research support to analysts and associates as required
- Update sector-specific databases
- Analyze financial statements, company-specific information, and industry-specific data
- Assist with drafting research notes and updating marketing presentations
- Pursuing a degree in Commerce, Finance, or Economics at a university or college
- Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data points into trends
- Outstanding PC skills, specifically Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms (Bloomberg, Thomson One)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, commitment to task, and attention to detail
- Ability to commit to over and above regular work hours and meet time-sensitive deadlines as required
- Ability to work and coordinate effectively within a team environment
- Proven capacity to learn quickly
- Demonstrated passion for stock/financial markets
