We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Estimator to join our team at Altima Contracting Ltd. As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Detailed Cost Estimates: Utilize your expertise to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for labour, materials, and general expenses, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Project Cash Flow and Financing: Analyze project cash flow and financing requirements to ensure timely completion and profitability.
  • Estimate Reports and Bid Preparation: Create and submit detailed estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to clients and stakeholders.
  • Quantity Take-Off and Tender Analysis: Conduct thorough quantity take-off procedures and analyze tenders to recommend awards and ensure optimal project outcomes.
  • Contract Expenditure Monitoring: Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure alignment with project budgets and schedules.
  • Supply and Trade Contractor Directory: Maintain a directory of reliable suppliers and trade contractors to support project needs.
  • Communication and Liaison: Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and coordination on project changes and adjustments.
  • Blueprint and Specification Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate cost estimates and project execution.
