We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Welder to join our team at West Fraser's Slave Lake Veneer Division.
Key Responsibilities:- Read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications to ensure accurate and efficient welding processes.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including GTAW and SMAW welding, to fuse metal and achieve high-quality results.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to precision-cut metal components.
- Utilize brazing and soldering equipment to join metal parts and ensure strong bonds.
- Operate metal shaping machines, such as brakes, shears, and rolls, to shape and form metal components.
- Participate actively in West Fraser's safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Welding ticket, Level B or A, with PWP #7 & #10 preferred.
- Heavy industry experience and previous experience in a flexible, multi-skilled work environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
- Valid driver's license in Alberta.
